Performance application

If you would like to join the H.C. Andersen Festivals as performer you can apply through the festival’s open calls. The next call for applications will open in September 2024.

The festival has two types of open calls:

Pool A: Annual open call for next year’s festival

Anyone who has a good idea for a project or performance related to the festival’s central concepts, and who can successfully deliver the project can apply. The deadline is approximately 10 months before the upcoming festival.

Pool B: Open call for larger scale projects

National and international performers with documented international experience and with an idea for a project with a total budget of 350,000-1,000,000 DKK can apply. The project must meet a number of requirements and the festival can only meet a very limited number of these projects. Applicants must be prepared for a joint fundraising effort.

This pool is open for applications until approximately 20 months prior to the implementation of the project at the festival.
