In 2025, the Odense Flower Festival, together with the rest of the city, marked the 150th anniversary of H.C. Andersen’s death. The Odense Flower Festival did so with a tribute to the imagination and creative power that blossoms so richly and diversely in H.C. Andersen’s works. Through his art, Hans Christian Andersen has left an indelible mark on posterity, where his fairy tales, poems, novels and paper cut-outs continue to inspire new interpretations. That is why last year’s theme for the Odense Flower Festival was ‘From seed to eternal bloom’.
