Who says opera only belongs in a concert hall?
At ‘Opera in the Playground’, the music comes right up close – at the children’s level and with plenty of room for curiosity and imagination.
The Funen Opera invites children and adults to a lively and playful concert experience with soprano Nickie Johansson and accordionist Julie Holmegaard Schade. This transforms the playground into a stage set, and the surroundings become part of the performance.
The idea came about when Nickie was standing in the playground with her own children one day and suddenly saw the place as the perfect opera stage. Now everyone has the chance to experience opera under the open sky in the playground in the park Munke Mose.
