Three women, three nationalities, three stories woven together into one.
DisTouched is a dance performance on stilts that explores the dynamics between the individual and the community in today's society. Dancing on stilts, three women with different stories and roots explore different aspects of relationships, from brief acquaintances to conflicts and deep bonds.
The piece shifts between lightness and drama, ritual and rage, tension and stillness. Space, distance and physical contact play a major role, and the dancers constantly discover themselves in new constellations that the audience can recognise themselves in.
The stilts symbolise the vulnerability and uncertainty of being human in a world full of contrasts and challenges. DisTouched is a moving performance with both humour and depth that will touch the audience and inspire reflection.
