During the H.C. Andersen Festivals, Ny Vestergade is transformed into the Art Street. Here, you can find plenty of comfort, creativity, art and culture for both children and adults alike.
The street is vibrantly adorned with inspiration from H.C. Andersen’s fairy tale-like papercuts, and throughout the week you can visit the street’s galleries, see exhibitions made by artists and craftspeople and participate in different entertaining and educational activities for children and adults. Teater Momentum (Momentum Theatre) becomes the scene for contemporary performing arts, and Den Fynske Opera (Funen Opera) takes over the streets with a popular community singalong.
If you need a break throughout the day, you can sit down on the beautifully decorated furniture on the street, where you can take out a pair of scissors and create your own papercut.
Explore the street and keep an eye out for the things you’ll encounter on your way — anything can happen on the Art Street!
