Denmark’s short film festival, OFF – Odense International Film Festival, celebrates its 50-year anniversary this year – and it’s going to be a blast! We’re kicking off the celebration early with the OFFroader during H.C. Andersen Festivals, where you can step into the marvellous world of short films with stories from across the globe. Inside the mobile movie theatre, OFF shows eye-opening, sensory and funny short films from its impressive back catalogue, stirring your entire emotional spectrum and taking you on an unforgettable journey. Expect the Unexpected!

There are short films for both children and adults alike – and it’s completely free of charge!

A short summary of OFF and the OFFroader:

  • OFF – Odense International Film Festival is Denmark’s oldest and only Oscar-, EFA-, BAFTA- and Robert-qualifying film festival. In 2025 the short film festival was additionally honoured with a Bodil Special Award for its significance for Danish films.
  • OFF25 takes place in week 35 – Monday, August 25 to Sunday, August 31 with its centre in Brandts Klædefabrik in Odense.
  • OFF celebrates its 50-year anniversary this year, and it’s going to be a blast!
  • A few years back, OFF welcomed a new family member: the OFFroader. A bright red, remodelled caravan, which is now a brilliant mini cinema with 12 seats. The mobile movie theatre offers exclusive and unique short film experiences, exactly where you least expect them.
