Come and join an exciting day where practical self-defence meets traditional Japanese martial arts, as Storms Pakhus hosts its Street Festival as part of the H.C. Andersen Festivals. Through a series of simple and informative exercises, both children and adults will have the opportunity to try out basic self-defence techniques that boost a sense of security, self-confidence and body awareness.
The sessions are tailored to the participants’ age and experience, so everyone can take part. Activities include working on reaction times, the use of voice, situational training and techniques for breaking free from holds in a safe and inclusive way.
After the workshop, you can enjoy a fascinating Iaido demonstration with Morteza. This traditional Japanese sword art is renowned for its precise and controlled movements and offers a fascinating insight into a martial art where discipline, concentration and history go hand in hand.
